Three and nine months operations were conducted by CSS Industries, Inc. last year and the company is happy to inform that it is done last December 31 of 2014. Last fiscal year 2014, the sales of the company were at $106,295,000 during the third quarter and it drops to 1.2 per cent during the fiscal year 2015, bringing it down to $104,993,000. This loss in sales was mainly because of the low sales they acquired during the holidays with cards and stationery products for every occasion. The lower sale figures was offset due to craft ribbon’s high sales as well as by the gain acquired upon acquisition of Carson & Gebel Ribbon Co., LLC. C&G, including all its businesses and assets, was acquired last May 19 of the year 2014 by the company’s Berwick Offray LLC. The figures in 2014 were much higher than the fiscal year 2015.

Comparing the first nine months of 2014 and 2015, the resulting figures in 2015 is lower by 2.5% compared to last year. The loss, from $265,899,000 to $259,342,000, is mainly because of lower sales in some products such as the ribbons, cards, Christmas bows, stationery products and cards from all occasion. This loss was offset by a higher sale in terms of items such as craft ribbon and gift card holders.
