Will Woodstock 50 Overcome The Setbacks And Hurdles?

Published by:

Ask anyone in the events management industry and they will tell you that the event venue in Gymea is as important as the event itself. If the location is not great, invited individuals will not be interested to attend the event. The closer the venue is to local transport links, the more guests you can expect because it is easier for them to get there.

Organizers of Woodstock 50 promises that the event will still take place even if it has lost the venue and producer. The event is supposed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 iconic event and was scheduled to take place from August 16 to 18 at Watkins Glen International, a racetrack in New York. Watkins Gen International confirmed that it will no longer host Woodstock.

Less than an hour after WGI made the announcement, CID Entertainment, the festival producer also made an announcement that it will no longer be involved in Woodstock 50 in any capacity. CID Entertainment was supposed to provide enhanced camping, travel packages and transportation to the venue.

In spite of the series of setbacks and complications, Gregory Peck, Woodstock 50 LLC principal announced that the event will push through because they are in discussions with another event venue. The new location will be shared once tickets go on sale in the coming weeks. Woodstock 50 has also found new investors to replace Dentsu Aegis Network, the former financial backer.

There are also reports of insufficient permits that is why Woodstock 50 cannot sell tickets. Organizers of the event are still hoping that they can overcome the hurdles.

A lineupof entertainers was announced by Woodstock and it will include Jay-Z, The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Miley Cyrus, the Raconteurs and many others. Black Keys pulled out because of conflict with their schedule.

There are a lot of factors that need to be taken into account when choosing an event venue in Gymea and this includes their facilities, food and drinks, technology and many more. The venue offers chauffer services within a 5-km radius of Gymea, Caringbah and Helensburg. You can simply call and arrange for the service to pick up at your doorstep.

AFL Guidelines For Beginners

Published by:

AFL is a popular sport in Australia. The Australian Football League matches are the most awaited sporting event in the country. The AFL starts from late march or early April and the Grand finale of the event is held in September. The League has eighteen teams which play twenty two, Home and away matches each. Depending on the points scored by each team, eight teams qualify for the final round.

Most of the die-hard fans of AFL flock to online stores like www.marketsports.com.au, to get their hands on the official merchandise of their favourite AFL teams. These stores have a wide collection of different merchandise like, jerseys, caps, socks, medals, frames and other gift items. The online stores also have the option of buying gift cards for friends and family, who are AFL followers.

Here are some guidelines to help beginners understand how a game of footy is played.

AFL is developed in Australia. The game is inspired by soccer, Rugby and Mangrook, a traditional game of the indigenous Australians.

The AFL team consists of eighteen active players and four players as substitutes. The game has a pre-set time of eighty minutes, which is divided into four twenty minute’s quarters. A siren goes off at the end of each quarter. The team with the maximum number of points at the end of the fourth quarter wins the match.

The AFL matches are played in large oval grounds called as the paddocks. Four goal posts are erected on the two opposite sides of the oval. The goal posts are equidistant from each other. The centre posts are taller than the side ones. The players have to get the ball past the opponent team’s goal posts in order to score points.

The players have to pass the ball to their team members either by kicking the ball or hand balling it. Throwing the ball is not allowed in this game. The game has a number of rules in order to protect the players from injuries to head. Players do not wear any safety gear while playing the matches and hence tackling above the shoulders and below the knees is prohibited.

Now that you know the basics of the game, shop for flags, scarves, caps and other AFL merchandise from www.marketsports.com.au, and enjoy a nail-biting game.

How To Keep Millennials Coming To Some Football Stadiums

Published by:

The younger generation may leave the football stadiums if they can’t stay connected with football games. Hence, sports teams are now improving their fan experience by embracing technology. Just picture yourself walking down the stadium, and using your smartphone to buy a premium seat upgrade or order a pork sandwich and imported beer delivered right at your seat. You then want to capture your favorite player’s touchdown score, and use it to watch instant replays at variable angles. The app also shows you the direction to the nearest restroom without waiting in line.

These aren’t futuristic football stadiums experiences. You can find one in few venues, and there are other people rushing to add the millennial digital systems that anyone can attend the game and have an immersive, connected experience.

Connecting the Race

Three reasons are why stadiums are forcing to encourageconnectivity:

  • Modifying demographics
  • Attracting fans to come to the stadiums rather than spending it on a home TV
  • Promoting more revenues

Whether you’re starting from scratch or trying to fit current facilities, football stadiums have a powerful competition with each other just to have the most recent technologies.

Competing with the Big Screen TV

Teams accept the reality that watching the big game in a fan’s family room is cheaper and easier. So, teams need to make the football games appear more appealing so the fans will choose to watch the games live at the stadium. A recent study shows that around 57% of fans like to watch the game at home.

Many say that it will feel more comfortable and convenient to watch the event or competition at home, especially with your own big TV and bathroom.  But thankfully, technology has provided the addition of connectivity and apps to make the fan experience done at the stadium, rather than watching at home.

With the use of Wi-Fi, the fan can experience watching at the football stadiums, that haven’t been tried elsewhere. And the best thing about it is bragging their friends on social media to watch the real thing. This can really be great as everyone gets to see the football game live.
