Others are interested on how much life insurance they need.

The fact is, there are financial decisions that do not require professional advice and which you can probably handle on your own. If you want to organize your entire financial picture and want to set up retirement savings, you will likely need a good financial planner. It also makes sense to hire a financial planner if you need to make big financial decisions like establishing a retirement savings plan and how to minimize taxes.

You do not have to be a sophisticated investor with stocks that are worth millions in the market to need a financial advisor. There are instances wherein you need advise on investment strategies like what stocks or funds to buy in or how you can manage your investments.

Financial advisor also includes financial planners or investment advisors. It is important to consider financial advisors who follow the fiduciary rule which means that they will always take into account their client’s best interests. In fee-only rule, the fees paid by the client are the only compensation they receive. They will not earn any commission if you invest in certain funds or buy financial products.

There are instances when a robo-advisor is a cheaper option. They can automatically rebalance the investment portfolio according to your specific goals and risk tolerance. A Look At The Edinburgh Company Behind The Escape Room For The Red Bull Escape Room World Championship

Published by:

Before 2012, a Hidden door was impossible to find in the UK, as the country didn’t have a single escape room. Following HintHunt’s first facility in the country in North London, the country now has around 1,500 of the facilities.

The country’s love affair with escape rooms and taking on a Hidden door for themselves led to the Red Bull Escape Room World Championships being held in London. The championship is a contest of the best teams from across 23 countries to see who can claim victory, with the Slovenia boasting the win for 2018.  Of course, that competition needed its own escape room, specially designed to cater to the level of the competitors.

A Scottish escape room company, laconically named Escape, was responsible for building and operating the challenge room for the championship’s duration early in April. The room’s design was the work of Dr.Scott Nicholson, an escape room designer, and Brantford Games Network Research Lab Director, Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario, Canada.

The room itself was designed by bringing together concepts in order to create a space aimed at testing six key problem solving skills, namely; creative thinking, logic, visual thinking, musicality, memory, and, of course, strategy. The good news is, people in London can give the room a shot for themselves, as Escape will keep it around and keep it running following the championships.

The 2019 iteration of the Red Bull Escape Room World Championships is only the second iteration of the event in the discipline, and was broadcast, live, for all the world to see.

Escape was founded back in 2014 in Edinburgh, and claims to the Scotland’s first escape room company. Regardless, the company’s since grown into a multinational operator, with more than 200 rooms across the world, with 150 employees in the UK alone.

Escape Founder Daniel Hill stated that escape games are only continuing to grow in popularity, and after Edinburgh played a key part in popularizing it, it’s only fitting that the world championship was held in the UK.

For Escape’s part, Hill says that it’s a privilege that they were tasked with building the unique escape room. For a company that just had one room to work with in Edinburgh back in 2015, with no clue as to whether or not they’ll even be popular, it’s such a miracle that they’re now thrust into the global stage.

Danang’s Road To Becoming A Smart City

Published by:

Danang is a coastal city located in Vietnam which is slowly starting to gain popularity because of its white sand beaches and beautiful resorts. There are over a million residents residing in Danang which is becoming an urban city in a faster speed than expected. It is expected that by 2030, the population of Danang will be more than twice it is now. There are many reasons to love the city from the French village in Danang to the beaches and the locals.

Danang is also part of the ASCN or ASEAN Smart Cities Network along with 25 more cities in its pilot program. These cities are required to be under ASEAN member states before they can join. They were officially launched last year during the 33rd ASEAN Summit which was held in Singapore on November. According to the ASCN, their goal is to collaborate in order for the cities to achieve the same goal which is to become smarter and more sustainable.

Two years ago, there were 6.6 million tourists who came to Danang and this number is 19 per cent higher compared to the year before. The figure for that year was also higher by 4.8 than their expected target for the year. Out of the 6.6 million tourists, 65 per cent came were traveling domestically while the remaining number were international travellers but majority of them came from neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Lao PDR.

Economist Intelligence Unit survey revealed that 84 per cent of the people living in Danang think their city is also under the smart category because of the improvements that have been done especially to the environment. In the last few years, the city is making waves because of its leap towards urban development using sustainable methods and at the same time making sure information technology is applied.

The pilot e-government platform was released in 2014 in Danang and the system was able to host 1,196 public services through online. An additional 498 services have been offered to cover other needs such as public infrastructure, land use and water quality.

The city also launched a mobile application called Danabus which can be used by residents to monitor the routes of the local buses. This is helpful for tourists going to French village in Danang or any other landmark as they can easily commute.
