One of the latest updates in modern offices is adding privacy window film on the Central Coast because of the many benefits. Aside from window film, an option to have frosted windows is possible. This is what the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau opted to spend on for the offices of their senior staff. The agency claimed to have used over $5,000 for the said frosted windows.
It was only recently when CFPB relocated in their newly renovated offices. The renovation alone set them back by over $240 million and a few months later they spent more cash into the window frosting. Mick Mulvaney, the head of the CFPB, said that prior to taking the role on the agency he has already thought of removing the said improvement work from the budget.
Based on the receipts provided by CFPB, the bureau made an order twice for the window frosting film. The first one was September of previous year and the second one was February of this year. The frosting film has already been applied to the windows of the offices where the leading political staff are designated along with all the conference rooms. The information was provided by an individual familiar with the issue inside the agency but chose to remain anonymous because they are not allowed to speak publicly regarding these matters.
The bureau did not say why they must install frosting film to the windows of the senior staff. This is not the only issue where the CFPB has been questioned regarding the spending since the office has been taken over by Mulvaney. There was also the issue of awarding considerable salary increases among deputies he appointed to aid him in managing the bureau. This was proven by a copy of the salary records from the agency.
Mulvaney took office at the end of November 2017 and he appointed around eight political staff with him. Four are currently earning $259,500 annually while the other one is earning $239,595. It was quite a surprise that Mulvaney allowed to spend that much money for window frosting when he used to think that the agency should be eliminated because it was unnecessary. There might be some benefits in using frosting film much like privacy window film on the Central Coast because it helps protect an office from burglaries and privacy is a top priority.
